Overview:
The Beggars Group Internship gives interns hands-on training in the aspects of music business. The learning opportunities include working with various departments including marketing, A&R and digital distribution among others. They learn about the inside workings of a well-known independent record label while understanding how artists develop, albums get released and marketing strategies are done. It is an opportunity for anyone who loves music to gain practical knowledge or skills and also contribute to the success of artists and projects on Beggars Group’s roster.
Responsibilities:
- Assist various departments like digital, promotions, A&R and marketing on a day-to-day basis.
- Conduct researches and collect information on market trends, artist development, competitive analysis etc.
- Aid social media campaigns & digital marketing efforts such as content creation as well as engagement activities.
- Support coordination of events; promotion activities plus artist shows cases.
- Administrative assistance tasks such as scheduling appointments; maintaining databases; dealing with correspondence etc.
- Working together with colleagues on special ventures towards achieving organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- A strong passion for music coupled with ambition to work within this field.
- Good written & speaking communication proficiency.
- Ability to multitask while effectively managing time in high-pressure environment.
- Microsoft office suit especially word processing excel presentation package usage & comprehension about social network sites.
- Paying keen attention to details organizational abilities should be present in order to succeed at this job.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
Requirements:
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or university program or be recent graduates. Though not necessary, it would be beneficial if applicants come with background in music, marketing, communication or other related fields. It is also desirable that the candidate has interned/worked anywhere before within the music industry.
